Enormously important for the forestry industry.
Spruce is the `breadwinner´ of the German forestry industry and is one of the most important tree types in the forest industry as a whole. With a trunk diameter of up to 1.2m and commonly used lengths of 20m, it grows straight and is sound. The colour of the core is light-yellow white to a reddish-yellow. With its straight form, together with rapid growth and low demands on its location and climate, it leads one to the conclusion that this tree was predestined for usage in the forestry industry.
The advantageous and universal application of spruce timber rounds off the profile of this wonderful wood. This is why spruce timber is so popular and used so often in buildings and their construction, as well as in the timber product industry where it can be seen as joists, boarding and planks.
